Buylist Information
**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION**
*Border City Games DOES NOT accept any Buylists containing cards from recently released TCG sets until 2 week after the OFFICIAL release date due to market volatility. This includes cards from older sets that have recently been reprinted. We reserve the right to not accept cards that have been announced for a reprint in an upcoming TCG set.
Border City Games DOES NOT accept any Buylists containing cards that have recently inflated in price way above their current market value. This buylist function only tracks automatic updates to prices and may not be accurate when calculating a valuation of the items submitted. Prices shown on the buylist are always subject to change. Border City Games reserves the right to refuse or cancel your buylist for any reason.
Buylists WILL NOT be accepted while Border City Games has ongoing sales, whether they are online sales or in-store sales. You are welcome to drop off your buylist during these times, however you, as the customer, understand that your buylist will not be processed until the following business day AFTER the sale is over.*
**WE DO NOT ACCEPT ART CARDS, SIGNED OR NOT, DESPITE THE SYSTEM SAYING WE DO. WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE OMIT THEM FROM SUBMISSIONS. **
Please have your cards removed from sleeves[excluding high value cards($20+) and foils] before dropping your cards off to the store. Cards should be organized in order as you add them to the list or alphabetically. This will speed up the time it takes to process your buylist.
Buylists will be assessed within 2-4 business days. Please do not drop off cards expecting them to be assessed instantly. If you are coming from out of town, please call ahead to ensure someone is here to look at your cards and accept your buylist.
Border City Games currently buys Magic the Gathering and Pokemon cards at 60% Store Credit or 40% Cash(by cheque ONLY; minimum of $100 required) Please be advised that percentage may drop if the card is graded below Near Mint(NM). Please state which you would like when dropping off your buylist just in case it has been submitted the wrong way.
We thank you for taking the time to read this information. If you have read and agreed to the above, please proceed to the buylist by clicking the image below:
Border Grading Guide
'Near Mint (NM)'
Near Mint condition cards show minimal or no wear from play or handling and will have an unmarked surface, crisp corners, and otherwise pristine edges outside of minimal handling. Near Mint condition cards appear 'fresh out of the pack,' with edges and surfaces virtually free from all flaws. '
'
'Lightly Played (LP)'
Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches. No major defects are present, and there are less than 4 total flaws on the card. Lightly Played condition foils may have slight fading or indications of wear on the card face. '
'
'Moderately Played (MP)'
Moderately Played condition cards have moderate wear, or flaws apparent to the naked eye. Moderately Played condition cards can show moderate border wear, mild corner wear, water damage, scratches , creases or fading, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects. '
'
'Heavily Played (HP)'
Heavily Played condition cards exhibit signs of heavy wear. Heavily Played condition cards may include cards that have significant creasing, folding, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy border wear, and /or tearing. '
'
'Damaged (D)'
Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged condition cards have massive border wear, possible writing or major inking (ex. white-bordered cards with black-markered front borders), massive corner wear, prevalent scratching, folds, creases or tears.
